24-hour Volume and Speed Survey ($31.00 + HST /per location/per date of count)

Traffic Volume, Classification and Speed is collected using electronic data collection equipment or pneumatic road tubes. The data is generally collected during a 24-hour period, on a typical day of the week and during dry, clear road conditions. The 24-hour volume and speed represents data captured on the day of the survey only. The data does not represent traffic volume for each day of the week.

Data such as the posted speed, average speed, 85th percentile speed, 24-hour total volume, 24-hour total passenger car volume, 24-hour total truck volume and 24-hour total heavy truck volume is available for the total roadway cross-section.

The 24-hour Volume and Speed Survey requests will be provided within 15 business days from the receipt of the request.

A collision summary report is a summary of collisions during a given period at any one location. The report provides an overview of factors associated with traffic collisions for locations under the Region of Waterloo jurisdiction.

A collision summary report summarizes statistical information by location.

Collision summary reports will be provided within 15 business days from the receipt of the request.

Traffic Forecast Noise Assessment Report ($515.00)

Traffic forecasts will provide estimates of current and 10-year forecast Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT), medium and heavy truck percentages of total traffic, day/night ratios and posted speed.

Traffic forecasts will be provided within 15 business days of the date of the request, but will be withheld, if necessary, until payment has been received.

Turning Movement Count ($77.00 + HST /per location/per date of count)

A Turning Movement Count (TMC) is a summation of the number and types of vehicles, the number of pedestrians, total cyclists and specifies the direction of travel for all movements (left turn, right turn and through)

Data contained in turning movement counts represents data captured on the day of the survey only, The data within turning movement counts does not represent traffic volume for each day of the week.

The most recent available count will be provided unless otherwise requested.
